Why We Built riltrace

We're full-time software developers. We've spent years wrestling with monitoring tools that were built for DevOps teams with dedicated infrastructure engineers, but not for the rest of us who just want to ship code and know when something breaks.

The status quo of “continuous monitoring” is unnecessarily complicated. Dashboards full of metrics that don't tell you why your app is slow. Alert storms that train you to ignore every notification. Setup processes that take days and a PhD in YAML.

We've lived this - in professional teams and through our own side projects. And we got tired of it.
